Machete began as a trailer in Grindhouse (2007) and was eventually made into a movie (2011). The original trailer is below. Not quite what we're looking for, so if you know of a trailer created to raise money for a feature by a non-established director let us know. Is this the original trailer from Grindhouse? Seems like they planned it.
